Press conference at ITAR TASS dedicated to the establishment of the “Welcome to Russia” public movement

On November 29, 2024 in the building of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Information Telegraphic Agency of Russia (ITAR-TASS)” a press conference dedicated to the creation of the public movement “Welcome to Russia” was held.

The “Welcome to Russia” movement was created to provide information support to citizens from non-CIS countries wishing to resettle in our country.

The event was opened by the Russian political and public figure, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the VIII convocation, member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, host of the author’s program “Tutti’s Heir Dolls” on the First Channel of the Russian television, journalist Maria Butina.

Martin Held (Republic of Austria), founder of the non-profit organization “Moya Rossiya”, Alexander Stefanesco (French Republic), entrepreneur and founder of the project “Ruspatriation”, Alina Lipp (Federal Republic of Germany), war correspondent and public figure, and Sabrina Hare (Commonwealth of Australia), English and Russian language teacher and blogger, spoke about the missions, plans and objectives of the “Welcome to Russia” movement and who and how to join the ranks of its volunteers. All of them have traveled the path of resettlement to Russia “from and to” and shared their experiences.

The leaders of the International Council of Russian Germans “Renaissance” General Director Oleg Vikhman and General Secretary Vladimir Lishchuk also took part in the conference.

In their speeches they fully supported the idea of creating this public organization and expressed their readiness to take an active part in its work.
