Delegation of the International Alliance of Russian Germans “Renaissance” took part in the V BRICS+ IMF

Seven thousand delegates of the Fifth BRICS+ International Municipal Forum gathered in the Northern Capital, of which about two thousand came from abroad, not only from the BRICS members Brazil, India, China and South Africa, but also from 59 other countries, representing mainly Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and the CIS. As a result, the municipal forum in St. Petersburg allowed officials, businessmen, public activists and experts from two hundred cities around the world to exchange experience. The BRICS+ INTERNATIONAL MUNICIPAL FORUM is a unique and innovative format of international events supported by the highest authorities of our country, federal ministries and agencies, and development institutions of the BRICS countries. The Forum shapes the intellectual agenda for the international municipal community according to the actual and concrete demands of the time and society itself, without “general” and abstract topics for discussion. Over the years, this venue has become widely known and annually gathers representatives of many countries around the world. The fact that the concept of a multipolar world, to which the leadership of the Russian Federation has repeatedly declared its commitment, finds a large number of supporters in different parts of the planet, emphasizes the broad composition of the forum participants. A total of 120 events were outlined in the BRICS+ IMF business program. The synergy of these events has created an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience, best international practices, which will result in new creative ideas and initiatives. On the second day of the Forum, Vladimir Lishchuk, Vice-President of the International Alliance of Russian Germans “Vozrozhdenie”, and Oleg Vikhman, General Director of the International Council of Russian Germans “Vozrozhdenie”, made a presentation on “Electronic Card of Compatriots” at the panel discussion “Cultural Practices of Rural Communities in BRICS+ Countries”. The session was moderated by Svetlana Smirnova – First Deputy Secretary General, Head of the General Secretariat of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia. Yulia Ogloblina, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues, leader of the Russian Union of Rural Youth, took an active part in the discussion.
